If we have learned anything about religion and politics it is that if you belong to and support a bigoted church you won't ever be president. Obama will lose in a Mondale-like way. Thank God Republicans rejected Romney. We now can see that his joining a racist church would have been a huge issue. He was also married in that religion and his wife converted. At that time, black men were not allowed to hold any position in the 'preisthood,' something that all white men could do. It matters not a whit that Romney's dad marched in a civil rights march.
